My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The situation in Angel's Flight draws an eerie resemblance to what is happening today, I guess history does repeat itself.
Michael Connelly was able to brilliantly merge a case and the climate surrounding it together, bringing a book that not just bring thrills but also acts as an epic reminder of current situations.
Angel's flight marks the third book in a row where the female lead leaves without much of anything again, at least this time with a little story and hope of coming back, so I guess I'm sort of used to this.
The crucial factor that keeps me coming back to the novel is that Bosch is realistic, he's headstrong, more than most of us, but he'll draw back on the right occasion instead of just plunging in as many other books have hero who does. A character filled with hope, but also has more than enough of a dose of reality that many can resonate with.
