The Last Coyote (Harry Bosch, #4; Harry Bosch Universe, #4)The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After a hint of hope in the ending of the last book, this one got off to a sad and almost depressing start, with Sylvia leaving Bosch hanging and Bosch himself getting suspended.

But he still has a mission, one he has put off for many years.......

The most emotional thus far of his books, this book is a definite winner, with a character that many can resonate with and a emotional story line that will tug at the heart of readers. The little twist at the end to keep the readers guessing adds to the sense of mystery, though readers of Michael Connelly will have seen the twist from afar even if they fail to guess the real story. A brilliant psychological thriller that eats at the deepest part of our heart, you won't feel as if you're reading Harry Bosch, but being with him on this journey as he searches for the truth on this faithful night.

The ending to this book draws a parallel to the last, one filled with hope and seeming content, but I fear we may be mislead once again.
