The Black Ice by Michael Connelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
For fans of Martin Cruz Smith Arkady Renko, Harry Bosch novels are a must read. The setting of the story are very much in a different place and a different time, but the characters, mood, setting and the brilliance of the series itself draws many parallels.
The black ice gave a vague start to the story and and dropped many hints throughout the story. For a crime novel that is not strictly police procedural, the most important point is to make the story believable and interesting, and the author no doubt successfully accomplished both, with just enough of a twist in the end to keep the readers guessing.
